38 Hurstmere was a transitional space and home for tactical urbanism and placemaking, the first phase of a redevelopment of public land in Takapuna’s City Centre – a place for all of Takapuna. Regular programming of hands-on workshops and performances kept the new space activated, and clever interventions put a positive spin on construction.
