Kia Kotahi

36th America’s Cup presented by Prada Fan Zone

Kia Kotahi was a whanau friendly, free event hosted by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei on Takaparawhau (Bastion Point).

This free fan zone was designed to showcase Ngāti Whātua Ōrakei culturally, creatively, and historically, as well as celebrate the major international sporting event, happening close by in the Waitematā Harbour. The meaning behind “Kia Kotahi” acknowledges the importance of uniting one and all to come and celebrate this world-class event. To Unite! – Be One – He waka eke noa – We are all in this together.

The event was affected by Covid-19 with formats and dates having to change. Once delivered it was a successful weekend of activity.

It was a privilege to collaborate with Hawke House who lead design of the event and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei on this project.
